Summer marksmanship academy

School is out, and summer is the perfect time for young people to learn valuable firearm safety and marksmanship skills in a structured and supervised environment. The Range at Ballantyne is pleased to offer our Summer Marksman Academy, a two-hour introductory handgun course designed specifically for students ages 13–17. Students must be accompanied by at a parent or legal guardian, creating an opportunity for families to learn and reinforce safe firearm practices together. This course provides a safe, engaging introduction to the fundamental principles of handgun shooting, including firearm safety, proper handling, shooting fundamentals, range etiquette, and responsible firearm ownership. Whether your son or daughter is completely new to shooting or looking to build a solid foundation, our certified instructors will provide hands-on guidance in a professional learning environment.
